The Fast Food Of The Future
SPACE10, IKEA's external innovation lab is experimenting with using mealworms and vegetables to make burgers. IKEA is calling it "Fast food of the future."
Each patty will contain 100g of beetroot, 50g of parsnip, 50g of potatoes, and 50g of mealworms. IKEA wants to make a burger that is both delicious and sustainable. IKEA fears that the worlds population is overtaking the worlds food supply and mealworms are an excellent source of protein. Right now SPACE 10 is just doing research and has no plans as of yet to add the mealworm burger to its menu.
